The I Can Scholarship Foundation Inc. HBCU Merit-Based Scholarship supports both high school seniors and current undergraduates who are planning to enroll in or are currently attending a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). This scholarship rewards academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community impact.

Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter Scholarship - a four-year continuous scholarship for Brooklyn residents, ranging from $1,000.00 to $2,000.00 per year. Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year college or university. Eligibility is based on maintaining a minimum 2.5 GPA for each semester.
Beverly Vance Memorial Scholarship - a $1,000.00 renewable award for Brooklyn residents seeking a four-year degree with a major in Communications, Speech, Drama, or a related field of study. Continuous eligibility is based on a full-time study with a minimum 2.5 GPA for each semester. Applicant must be an entering freshman student.
Angela M. Bledsoe Scholarship - a $1,000.00 annual renewable award for Brooklyn residents seeking a four-year degree with a major in Business and/or Finance. Continuous eligibility is based on full-time study with a minimum 2.50 GPA for each semester.

CBCF Reducing the Financial Barrier Scholarship
This scholarship opportunity awards academically talented and highly motivated African American or Black scholars to reduce the financial barrier to a college degree for low-income students. The Federal Student Aid Report will be used to verify financial need based on the Expected Family Contribution (EFC), to include income, family size and number of family members enrolled in higher academic institutions. CBCF Spouses Performing Arts Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 1988 by the spouses of Congressional Black Caucus members to address the educational need in the congressional districts in response to federal cuts in spending for education programs and scholarships, which disproportionately affect people of color. This opportunity awards scholarships to academically talented and highly motivated African-American or Black students pursuing an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degrees in a variety of fields.
